How appropriate that we at Catavino was awarded the One Lovely Blog Award from Richard of Passionate Foodie, a friend and fellow wine blogger covering all culinary related topics in Boston. As many of you know, Catavino is the blog behind this site, but we felt it would be much more appropriate to highlight some of the fabulous wine blogs we've discovered through Wine Blogger, in addition to some foodie and tourism blogs we truly enjoy. As the New Year has finally dawned, the time has come for us to think about new and exciting events in 2009. One such event is the European Wine Bloggers Conference. However, before we break the big news, we are trying to get some initial feedback regarding the event.
We would love to know how many of you would be interested in attending our conference in mid June in Italy? Mind you, we aren't looking for solid commitments here, just need some feedback to help us make some final decisions in the planning process.
In addition, we kindly request that you either pass this message on to other wine bloggers, and/or post this question on your blog, if you tend to attract many wine bloggers to your site. The more wine bloggers we reach, the better idea we have as to ...

1. Why do you feel wine blogging is not a fad? or is it?
By definition, a fad is temporary. I don't think anyone with half a brain thinks wine blogs are temporary. There are too many people with too much passion for them to be temporary. They aren't going away. My blog isn't going anywhere.
